I sometimes say judgmental things to people when I think they aren't upholding the same values or ethics as I feel I have.  It is easy to complain and make sarcastic comments, but life can be difficult already so why be negative? That is a difficult choice because we want to fit in; we want to have fun, and we want others to like us. It takes longer and is much more difficult though. We can be better parents, better co-workers and better human beings when we work together to solve problems. Other people can help me see something that I couldn't see on my own. I think in life, people want to feel competent and feel like we can do things on our own, yet we are stronger as a group. We can achieve more together and with the belief that we can.     "Be gentle with the young," according to Juvenal. It is a difficult ask raising children . I am often unsure of whether I am making the right decisions in their upbringing since I want to raise them to be kind and competent people. They can test my patience more than every child that I have ever babysat for or more than any of the infants that I have been a teacher to. Taking care of the infants is important, but I am not alone in that job; those babies have their own mom and dad. Raising my  children  is the most important job that I will ever have. I know that as a parent, it is important to be gentle .     Al Yankovic said, "My hobbies just sort of gradually became my vocation." I have always loved to read, write, paint and draw. Although I have not done it in years, I also love to crochet. I work full-time and am the mother of three daughters. When they were little, their needs consumed my days. As they got older, I started to pursue my hobbies and passions once again although sometimes the details of life like working, cleaning and paying bills get in the way and dominate all of my time. I know that I need to put my responsibilities aside and have a little fun sometimes.       Even Snow White sang, "Just do your best, then take a rest and sing yourself a song ." Just like I have always loved reading, music has also been an important part of my life. While some songs  bring back old memories; other songs resonate deep within me through the message they convey. When I am out for a run, songs help me to go further. Music can also cheer me up when I am feeling low. It doesn't matter if you sing beautifully or not, just sing a song .
