Make friends, not enemies

I just finished watching the movie A Long Walk to Freedom about Nelson Mandela. I was inspired and moved to make a difference in the world that I live in, but his words "No one is born hating another person...a person learns to hate. We can be taught to love..." just touched my soul. I want to "unlearn" how to hate. I choose to make friends, not enemies even with those that hurt me.
