Understand your intuition

Asking other people for advice is a common endeavor. When I am faced with a decision or I encounter a problem, why not ask my friends and family members for advice? Nothing is wrong with that except that it can distract me from learning my own lessons and listening to my own heart. I can request other's opinions, but I need to understand my own intuition.
