Keep life balanced

Image
Carl Gustav Jung wrote, "Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness...". Everyone has some sadness in their life at one time or another. It may seem at times that you get more than your share of trials and tribulations, yet if you look at your life as a whole, you may realize that happy and sad times are equal. What is important during these times is what you learn and how you grow; that will help balance out the negative aspects of what you are enduring. No matter what happens, just keep life balanced . Change occurs between all and nothing

"The main dangers in this life are the people who want to change everything or nothing."                                                 -Lady Nancy Astor     I agree with Lady Aster that in life , there should be balance . Balancing my needs with my loved one's needs. Balancing my food intake with my exercise level. Balancing my expenditures with my income. What about balancing  consistency in my life with change ? There are people that stay the same year after year never changing in behavior and sometimes not even in looks. There is some comfort in stability , but it can also cause life to become stagnant and maybe even boring. Then there are others who move often, change jobs frequently and maybe even switch significant others often. Life is always different but never predictable or stable. There is an old saying about not throwing...

An unbalanced life equals injustice

Image
Injustice by definition is an act that inflicts undeserved harm . I have been a single working mother since 2001. Throughout these 12 years, I have struggled to work hard yet be there for my daughters . What I learned years ago was that I can never be the best at both. I have had to understand that doing as much as I can as a mother as well as doing as much as I can at work would have to be enough. I also realized that if I did not find time for myself in between these work and parenting commitments, that I could not even be enough at work or with my children. Often when I neglected my needs I would end up ill or sad and sometimes both. I had to learn to balance all of the areas of my life so that I did not inflict undeserved harm to others nor to myself. An unbalanced life does  truly lead to injustice. Read my words and see my quotes http://susanmarieschulhof.blogspot.com
